About Us

In a collaboration between the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, the University of Technology, Vienna and the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, the “Digitalization, and Innovation Laboratory in Agricultural Sciences” project pursues the objective of establishing a scientific nucleus in the field of digitalization in agriculture on the initiative of the province of Lower Austria.

“We live in a world that is drowning in data. We have the choice of continuing to ignore it and dismiss it as a big noise or of

using it.”

– Jorn Lyseggen, CEO von Meltwater

Applied Farming Network

The Applied Farming Network of DILAAG serves to connect scientists and practitioners. Therefore the aim is to transfer the knowledge gained under laboratory conditions to a level suitable for practitioners. The Applied Farming Network is also intended to provide a platform for developing joint projects to combine practical applications with university know-how. Here the focus is to develop new creative technologies suitable for practical applications.

Company Network

Today, as companies are confronted with a need for digitalization and interdisciplinary solutions, the DILAAG Innovation Lab serves to provide a collaboration of different academic competencies with a focus on agriculture and digitalization. Further, the DILAAG Innovation Lab aims to provide high-quality solutions with an emphasis on sustainability.
